Role Overview
We are currently looking for a Synthetic Organic Chemist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Hertfordshire area. As the Synthetic Organic Chemist you will be responsible for chemistry projects within research and development.Key Duties and Responsibilities
Your duties as the Synthetic Organic Chemist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. As the Synthetic Organic Chemist, you will work on the preparation, purification and isolation of C14 labelled compounds.
2. You will prepare study plans, draft GMP batch documentation using non-GMP synthesis methodology and take part in discussions and reviews of chemistry projects.
3. As the Synthetic Organic Chemist, you will also be involved in chemical synthesis, analysis and separation science to colleagues in the GMP synthesis team.
4. You will also communicate to clients about project progress when necessary and perform GLP analysis when required.
Role Requirements
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. Relevant BSc / MSc in Chemistry with industry experience.
2. Proven laboratory experience in synthetic organic chemistry.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with chromatographic techniques.
