Role Overview

Are you an experienced sales professional looking for your next challenge? We are currently looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join a leading food safety company based in the Ayrshire area, with travel to Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. As the Technical Sales Representative you will be responsible for managing and growing business across the region for the company's leading food safety products and services. This role will require travel to NI/ROI a couple of times per month.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Technical Sales Representative will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Develop and generate sales to exceed target revenues for the company's products. Devise and implement business/marketing plans for the territory based upon business requirements to increase growth and profitability.

2. Communicate with existing customers to monitor customer satisfaction and make prospective calls/visits to potential customers. Attend and analyse industry trade shows to promote products and services.

3. Have an excellent understanding of all diagnostic products supplied, and be able to run and demonstrate all test kits for potential customers. Act as the first point of contact in efforts to solve technical customer issues.

4. Undertake competitor analysis, and provide a monthly written report on developments in the Irish territory.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Technical Sales Representative we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a life science or food science discipline.

2. Previous industry experience in life science/technical/food related sales.

3. Clean current driving license and flexibility to travel to the territory (NI and ROI).
