Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Vector Research Associate to join a leading clinical-stage biotechnology company based in the Hertfordshire area. As the Vector Research Associate you will be responsible for supporting the production of vectors across all programs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Vector Research Associate will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Your role will involve carrying out all routine cell culturing as well as performing transient transfections.

2. You will prepare samples for purification through methods such as pellet freeze, thaw cycles and DNerase treatment.

3. As the Vector Research Scientist you will perform vector purification using a range of methods and further perform analytical techniques on vector preparations such as qPCR, ELISA, AKTA and SDS-PAGE.

4. Assisting in the smooth running of the Vector team, ensuring validity and reliability of data at all times will be included in your role. Attending high-priority meetings and assisting running the laboratory is important in your role.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Vector Research Associate we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant Masters in a Biological Sciences related discipline such as Molecular Biology or Biological Sciences.

2. Proven industry experience with mammalian cell culturing and protein analytic's such as SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting and ELISA.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with vector production and purification as well as HPLC protein purification would be highly beneficial to your application.
