

We are actively looking for an Antibody Discovery Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Antibody Discovery Scientist, you will be responsible for working with Phage Display technologies, applying new molecular biology and in vitro display methods to discover and optimize antibodies for therapeutic applications.
This role is an initial 12 month contract and starting salary is £45,000 p/a depending on experience.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Antibody Discovery Scientist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As the Antibody Discovery Scientist, you will planning and executing in vitro display library selections and screening experiments.
2. As the Antibody Discovery Scientist, you will generating high-quality bespoke display libraries to support bovine antibody engineering projects.
3. As the Antibody Discovery Scientist, you will performing a range of binding assays to assess specificity and affinity of engineered antibodies.
4. As the Antibody Discovery Scientist, you will presenting experimental data at cross-functional meetings and contributing to the development of new methodologies in antibody discovery and engineering.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Antibody Discovery Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a related field, ideally at the PhD level, with a good understanding of immunology and antibody structure and function.
2. Proven industry experience in antibody research and molecular biology techniques, including phage and yeast display, and flow cytometry.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with biochemical techniques such as ELISA, FACS, SPR or BLI, and antibody expression/purification.
