

We are currently looking for an Associate Scientist to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Associate Scientist, you will be responsible for providing analytical support for process characterisation and understanding activities within Process Development.
This is an initial 12 month contract with likely extension.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Associate Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As the Associate Scientist, you will generate analytical data and conduct independent investigations into aspects of bioprocess development using a range of analytical biochemistry methods.
2. As the Associate Scientist, you will assist with the isolation and characterisation of protein and impurity samples using established protein analytical techniques.
3. As the Associate Scientist, you will maintain high standards of record keeping and documentation, including the proper use of electronic laboratory records and training materials.
4. As the Associate Scientist, you will report scientific findings to the group through presentations, written reports, and informal discussions.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Associate Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a related field, such as Biochemistry or Biotechnology.
2. Proven industry experience in antibody analysis or a related area.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with analytical methods such as HPLC, ELISA, and electrophoresis.
