Back to Job SearchWe are currently looking for a Boiler Operative / Plant Operator to join a leading Pharmaceutical company in the Hertfordshire area. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with boiler operation skills to contribute to a vital contract within a high-demand environment.
Our client requires a reliable and safety-conscious individual who can efficiently operate large-scale steam boilers. The role is full-time, 6 month contract with a planned temporary placement to support their team during a staffing transition. The successful candidate will help ensure the safe and continuous running of industrial boilers essential for their operations.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as the Boiler Operative / Plant Operator will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- As the Boiler Operative, you will operate and monitor industrial steam boilers to ensure safe and efficient performance.
- As the Boiler Operative, you will maintain compliance with safety regulations and procedures related to boiler operation.
- As the Boiler Operative, you will conduct routine checks and report any issues affecting boiler safety or performance.
- As the Boiler Operative, you will support the team with plant operations, including safety documentation and operational logs.
- As the Boiler Operative / Plant operator, you will assist in ensuring continuous plant functionality during the shift.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Boiler Operative / Plant Operator we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- A Degree or higher level in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering).
- Valid Boiler Certification (e.g., BOAS / Boiler Operation Accreditation Scheme).
- Proven experience operating large industrial steam boilers, ideally in utilities, pharma, power station or similar regulated environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and adhere to regulatory standards in an industrial setting.
