Back to Job SearchWe are currently looking for a Cell Biologist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company in the Berkshire area. As the Cell Biologist you will be responsible for supporting screening and mode of action studies for biological and chemical entities within an immunology therapy area.
This is an initial 12 month contract with possible extension.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Cell Biologist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As the Cell Biologist you will contribute to running high-throughput cell-based screening assays, using platforms such as flow cytometry, high content imaging and reporter-cell assays.
2. As the Cell Biologist you will perform tissue culture to support screening activities.
3. As the Cell Biologist you will use liquid handling and screening assay equipment.
4. As the Cell Biologist you will capture assay data using templates and systems tools, and analyse, interpret and summarise results for presentation at internal meetings.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Cell Biologist lwe are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a biology or pharmacology related discipline.
2. Proven industry experience in tissue culture of primary human cells and cell lines.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with data processing software, including curve fitting and statistical packages.
