

We are seeking an Early Design Engineer to join a leading global Pharmaceutical company based in the Walloon Region, Belgium. As the Early Design Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out feasibility studies of projects, focusing on biological, pharmaceutical GMP, R&D/Laboratory, utilities, and infrastructures.
This is a mission initially until the end of April 2026, with likely extension depending on performance. The mission can offer hybrid (50% remote working) and the available budget for suitable candidates is 80-90 euro per hour (640-720 per day).
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Early Design Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As the Early Design Engineer, you will consolidate the ideation of projects and prepare scenarios for strategic decisions.
2. As the Early Design Engineer, you will deliver feasibility and early design, including user requirement briefs, technical deliverables, budgets, schedules, risks, and prioritisation.
3. As the Early Design Engineer, you will transfer feasibility studies to the Delivery department in compliance with governance.
4. As the Early Design Engineer, you will assist Business Investment Partners by collecting user and site requirements, completing Project Ranking Forms, and establishing project portfolios.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Early Design Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in engineering or a related field.
2. Proven industry experience in biotech, with expertise in cGMP, Green and HSE standards, utilities, and infrastructure.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with capital and asset management, including CAPEX and OPEX.
