Device Usability Engineer

We are recruiting a Device Usability Engineer to join a leading Pharmaceutical company in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Device Usability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing drug delivery system projects by managing and executing Human Factors Engineering activities and compiling related documentation for product regulatory submissions.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Device Usability Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Device Usability Engineer, you will collaborate with drug product teams, external design companies, and human factors vendors to ensure timely execution of human factors engineering deliverables, including project management of materials for Human Factors studies.

2. As the Device Usability Engineer, you will provide device usability input and support to device design inputs, human factors study feedback, and recommended mitigation actions to the DCoE design group and external device design authorities.

3. As the Device Usability Engineer, you will manage and document use-related risks related to assigned projects and support the generation and change control of all device Instructions for Use (IFU) documentation.

4. As the Device Usability Engineer, you will assist in the creation of human factors regulatory documentation and provide guidance on all human factors engineering matters.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Device Usability Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in Human Factors, Usability, or a related field.

2. Proven industry experience in Human Factors Engineering, ideally for combination products with devices.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with project and time management, IT skills (PC literate), and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including MS PowerPoint.
