E&I Project Engineer

We are recruiting an E&I Project Engineer to join a leading Pharmaceutical company in the County Waterford area. This exciting opportunity involves supporting the delivery of a diverse portfolio of electrical and infrastructure projects within a highly regulated setting.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring project success from design through commissioning, combining technical expertise in electrical systems with strong project management skills. This role offers a chance to work on impactful projects in a cutting-edge site committed to innovation and excellence.

This is an initial 12 month contract with likely extension.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as the E&I Project Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • As the E&I Project Engineer, you will manage all elements of assigned projects including schedule, cost, scope, safety, and quality to ensure successful delivery.
  • As the E&I Project Engineer, you will lead design management and ensure compliance with scope and user requirements, supporting design reviews and approvals.
  • As the E&I Project Engineer, you will act as the Electrical Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing technical support and ensuring electrical works comply with Irish regulations and site standards.
  • As the E&I Project Engineer, you will develop, maintain, and track project schedules, proactively challenging contractors to meet milestones, and managing delays through established processes.
  • As the E&I Project Engineer, you will oversee scope and cost control, manage variations, and ensure alignment with budget constraints and project scope.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Project Engineer (Electrical) we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
  • A Degree or higher level in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience of 5-10 years in engineering project delivery, ideally within construction or pharmaceutical environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical standards, safety systems and GMP or highly regulated environments is desirable.
