We are currently looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering company based in the London area. As the Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and assisting in the sales stage of a project, ensuring that conceptual design and tender preparation documents are provided in accordance with required timescales and quality standards.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Electrical Design Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Translate and develop conceptual designs into turnkey projects to meet the functional and contractual specifications of secured orders.
2. Produce project-specific electrical designs in relation to power generation and industrial installations, inclusive of earthing systems, protection systems, cable sizing, and fault studies, along with the production of appropriate drawings and documentation.
3. Liaise with the Mechanical Design Engineers, the CAD team, and the EC&I team in identifying the project requirements and on the development of the detailed design.
4. Provide practical on-site support for Project Managers during the installation phase through to commissioning and testing.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Electrical Design Engineer, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering.
2. Proven industry experience in designing power systems and LV distribution systems compliant with BS7671.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with AutoCAD 2D(LT), AutoCAD Electrical, and Trimble Pro Design.
