Engineering Lead

ROLE OVERVIEW

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineering Lead to join a leading organization supporting critical utilities and infrastructure projects within a regulated, pharmaceutical environment. Based on our client’s site, this role offers a chance to lead and coordinate medium to large-scale engineering initiatives focused on HVAC, energy production, utilities, and infrastructure transformation.

This long-term mission is ideal for a seasoned professional looking to make a significant impact on infrastructure projects, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, and contributing to energy efficiency and sustainable solutions across multiple sites.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the Engineering Lead will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Coordinate and oversee technical activities across disciplines such as HVAC, utilities, piping, and electrical systems to ensure project delivery aligns with strategic goals.
• Manage multiple project phases, from initial concept and basic design through detailed design, execution, and project handover, maintaining focus on quality, safety, and compliance.
• Challenge and review technical proposals provided by engineering firms and contractors to ensure feasibility and alignment with project standards and regulations.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external contractors, ensuring effective communication, project governance, budget adherence, and timely delivery.
• As the Engineering Lead, you will act as the main technical and project reference, overseeing risk management and ensuring project documentation and deliverables meet GMP and regulated environment standards.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Engineering Lead we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

• A Degree or higher level in engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or Utilities Engineering)
• Proven experience in project engineering, technical coordination, and managing complex infrastructure projects within regulated environments such as pharma, GMP, or GxP.
• Strong technical background in HVAC, electrical systems, utilities, and infrastructure, with the ability to challenge technical solutions and oversee design validation.
• Good communication skills in French fluency, with a working level of English to interpret technical documentation.
• Good working knowledge of project governance, budget management, planning, and on-site coordination.
• An ownership mindset with the ability to work autonomously, flexibly, and responsibly across different project phases.
