Facilities Maintenance Technician

ROLE OVERVIEW

Our client, a leading company in the Medical Equipment / Devices industry, is currently looking for a Facilities Electrical Technician to join their team based in Plymouth, England. As the Facilities Electrical Technician, you will ensure all environmental conditions are maintained at all times with regard to critical building systems. You will carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown works to all mechanical and electrical systems within the site.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Facilities Electrical Technician will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Ensure reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and proactively highlight areas for improvement.

2. Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, including the use of relevant PPE, and ensure plant rooms are locked and tidy.

3. Supervise and monitor sub-contractors while they undertake maintenance on-site.

4. Operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with Health & Safety procedures and be flexible with working times in emergencies.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Facilities Electrical Technician we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a related field or completion of an apprenticeship with a Level 3 technical and vocational qualification.

2. Proven industry experience in electrical systems, BMS Systems, HVAC, Boilers, and emergency lighting systems.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Facility Equipment fault finding and maintenance activities.
