GxP Systems Engineer

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a GxP Systems Engineer to join a leading organization operating within the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned automation specialist to support ongoing and upcoming projects, ensuring the seamless integration and validation of laboratory automation workflows. Based remotely within the US, you will play a critical role in enhancing laboratory efficiency through innovative digital solutions.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the GxP Systems Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

   • Design, implement, and support automated liquid handling workflows using platforms such as Hamilton VENUS within GMP Quality Control laboratories.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate laboratory instruments, automation systems, and digital platforms to ensure smooth data flow and connectivity.
   • Translate laboratory, business, and data integration requirements into scalable and efficient automation solutions.
   • Support system validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ), ensuring compliance with GxP, data integrity, and regulatory standards.
   • Troubleshoot and optimize automated workflows to improve laboratory throughput, reliability, and efficiency.
   • Contribute to documentation such as SOPs, work instructions, and system configurations.
   • As the GxP Systems Engineer you will identify opportunities for process improvements and lead the adoption of innovative automation and digital solutions.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the GxP Systems Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

   • A Degree or higher level in engineering, computer science, life sciences, or related field.
   • Proven 5–7+ years of experience working with laboratory instrumentation and automation systems within GMP environments.
   • Strong understanding of GxP, GAMP, and data integrity requirements, coupled with experience in system validation activities.
   • Experience with liquid handling platforms (e.g., Hamilton VENUS) and broad knowledge of lab automation concepts.
