Head of Marketing

ROLE OVERVIEW

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head of Marketing to join a leading science-led, AI-driven, biotech organisation with a focus on developing both products and scientific services. This is a key leadership role responsible for defining and executing the company’s marketing strategy, driving brand positioning, and accelerating commercial growth across both product and service offerings.

As Head of Marketing, you will take ownership of the full marketing function, leading demand generation, digital strategy, and market positioning. You will work closely with senior leadership, sales, and product teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives, supporting the commercialisation of cutting-edge technologies across sectors such as agriculture, public health, and environmental monitoring.

The role is hybrid, with 1–2 days per week on-site at our client’s facilities in East London.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the Head of Marketing will be varied; however, the key responsibilities are as follows:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned to commercial goals, with a strong focus on lead generation and revenue growth.

• Own and optimise multi-channel digital marketing campaigns (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.), ensuring strong ROI and continuous performance improvement.

• Lead CRM strategy and execution, including segmentation, lead scoring, automation workflows, and maintaining high-quality data for effective pipeline management.

• Partner closely with sales and product teams to deliver integrated go-to-market strategies, supporting both product launches and service offerings.

• Oversee the creation of high-impact marketing assets, including landing pages, case studies, presentations, and targeted email campaigns.

• Build and strengthen the company’s brand positioning within science-led and technology-driven markets.

• Plan and manage the company’s presence at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, maximising visibility and lead generation.

• Track, analyse, and report on marketing performance metrics, leveraging data, automation, and AI tools to drive continuous optimisation.

• As the Head of Marketing, you will have the opportunity to build and scale the marketing function as the company grows.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application for this exciting role as Head of Marketing, we are looking to identify the following:

• Proven experience in a marketing leadership or senior marketing role, with a strong focus on B2B lead generation and digital strategy.

• Demonstrable success in developing and executing marketing strategies within science, technology, healthcare, or related sectors.

• Hands-on experience with paid digital campaigns and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), including marketing automation and pipeline management.

• Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and optimise campaign performance.

• A proactive, self-starting individual who thrives in fast-paced, scale-up environments and collaborates effectively across cross-functional teams.


NICE TO HAVE

• Experience marketing hardware and/or software products within science, healthcare, or technical industries.

• Background in start-up, scale-up, or contract research environments.

• Familiarity with AI-driven marketing tools and personalisation strategies.
