

We are recruiting a Laboratory Technician to join a leading Pharmaceutical company in Cambridge. This role offers the chance to be part of a dynamic team, providing crucial analytical laboratory support. As the Laboratory Technician, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory activities and compliance with industry standards.
This is an initial 12 month contract with potential extension.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Laboratory Technician will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As the Laboratory Technician, you will comply with applicable GxP regulations, SOPs, HSE, DQP, and other guidelines in the laboratory.
2. As the Laboratory Technician, you will maintain up-to-date documentation of laboratory work, including sample storage and laboratory notebook archiving.
3. As the Laboratory Technician, you will ensure a consistent flow of laboratory and project consumables by contacting approved suppliers and executing purchase orders.
4. As the Laboratory Technician, you will support the cleaning, maintenance, qualification, and calibration of laboratory equipment with accompanying documentation.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Laboratory Technician, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a Life Science subject is desirable, with a minimum of A-level chemistry or equivalent.
2. Proven experience with general laboratory glassware and equipment, including pipettes, filters, and filtration equipment.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with ALCOA++ and good documentation practices.
