Back to Job SearchAn exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Supervisor – Shutdown to join a leading pharmaceutical organization during a critical shutdown phase. Based in a dynamic environment, this role offers the chance to work on planned maintenance activities, ensuring safety and high standards of operational performance.
This contract position is available for a defined period from 29th June to 23rd August, with potential for extension for those demonstrating exceptional performance. The role involves working 12-hour day shifts, including weekends, supporting vital shutdown operations.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as the Mechanical Supervisor - Shutdown will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the mechanical team during day shifts, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Implement and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure the safety of all personnel and compliance with regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of mechanical systems to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Provide training and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- As the Mechanical Supervisor - Shutdown you will ensure all activities adhere to safety standards and contribute to smooth shutdown processes.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Mechanical Supervisor/LOTO, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- A Degree or higher level in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Proven industry experience in mechanical supervision and shutdowns.
- A working knowledge and practical experience with mechanical systems and safety protocols.
