We are currently looking for a Warehouse Shift Operative to join a leading organisation within the logistics and supply chain industry based in Hertfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the efficient operations of a busy warehouse environment, supporting crucial distribution and storage functions.
As a key part of their team, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and safety of stock handling processes, working closely with various departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as the Warehouse Shift Operative will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Facilitating the smooth receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming goods, including quality control requests.
- Accurately placing stock items into designated storage locations and recording details within the SAP Inventory Control system.
- Picking and assembling orders to meet the needs of user departments, ensuring compliance with Good Distribution Practice (cGDP) and Cold Chain Distribution (CCD) guidelines.
- Operating counterbalance forklift trucks and other mechanical handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- As the Warehouse Shift Operative you will maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Warehouse Shift Operative we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- A degree or higher level qualification in a related field (e.g., Supply Chain Management / Logistics / Warehouse Operations).
- Proven industry experience in warehouse operations or supply chain management.
- A working knowledge and practical experience with SAP Inventory Control system and mechanical handling equipment.
- Counterbalance OR Reach Licence.
