Pharmacist-In-Charge - Orlando

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a Pharmacist in Charge to join a leading healthcare provider specializing in advanced pharmacy solutions. Based in a state-of-the-art facility, this is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated pharmacy professional to showcase their expertise in a dynamic and innovative environment. This role offers the chance to lead a close-door pharmacy, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications while providing exceptional patient care and operational leadership.

Reporting to the General Manager or Pharmacist In-Charge, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining compliance, managing prescription fulfillment, and supporting the delivery of comprehensive pharmaceutical services. Situated in a cutting-edge setting, this position combines technical pharmacy skills with leadership responsibilities to optimize medication therapy outcomes and enhance patient satisfaction.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the Pharmacist in Charge will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
    • Lead the operation of a closed-door pharmacy, ensuring all medications are dispensed accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Review prescriptions, gather patient medical histories, and maintain precise medication profiles to ensure personalized and safe pharmaceutical care.
    • Provide expert advice to patients and healthcare professionals on drug safety, interactions, and proper medication use.
    • Facilitate the setup and delivery of medication devices, such as Spencer devices, to enhance adherence and patient convenience.
    • As the Pharmacist in Charge, you will oversee prescription transfers, manage incoming physician communications, and generate reports to support efficient pharmacy operations.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Pharmacist in Charge we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
    • A Degree or higher level in pharmacy (e.g., Pharmaceutical Sciences / Pharmacology / Pharmacy Practice).
    • Valid RPh license in Florida.
    • Proven experience of at least 1 year working in a retail pharmacy setting with closed-door experience, including familiarity with automation systems and long-term care pharmacy operations.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including the elderly, with compassion and clarity.
    • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills to handle pharmacy operations efficiently.
