Planning & Logistics Team Leader

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a Planning and Logistics Team Leader to join a leading organisation in the Life Sciences and Consumer Care sectors based in our client’s site. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced professional to oversee and optimise supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of raw materials and finished goods while maintaining focus on customer satisfaction and sustainability.

As part of a dynamic team committed to innovation and continuous improvement, you will lead the planning and warehousing functions, supporting our client’s strategic growth objectives and fostering an inclusive, sustainable working environment.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the Planning and Logistics Team Leader will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Lead the creation and execution of production plans to ensure seamless manufacturing and delivery schedules.
  • Manage the movement and logistics of raw materials and finished goods to and from UK sites and distribution centres.
  • Supervise and develop the Supply Chain planning and warehousing teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee stock management activities, including stock counting procedures to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • As the Planning and Logistics Team Leader, you will ensure operational excellence aligning with sustainability initiatives and customer service standards.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Planning and Logistics Team Leader we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

• A Degree or higher level in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Extensive knowledge of SAP processes in Sales & Distribution, Production Planning, and Materials Management modules.

• Proven experience in site manufacturing environments, with strong understanding of processes, products, and supplier relationships.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of managing and developing teams.
