We are currently looking for an Proofreader to join a leading pharmaceutical and healthcare organization based in a flexible, remote working environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to support global packaging verification processes within a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring compliance and accuracy in pharmaceutical labeling and artwork.
In this role, you will be instrumental in reviewing and verifying the accuracy of packaging and labeling artwork across multiple regions and languages, ensuring adherence to strict specifications and trade dress standards. You will collaborate with international stakeholders, including safety, regulatory bodies, and artwork centers, to maintain consistency and quality in pharmaceutical communications.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as the Proofreader will be varied; however, the key responsibilities are as follows:
- Provide thorough document verification and proofing of packaging and labeling artwork against Editors Copies to ensure compliance with local and regional guidelines.
- Evaluate updates to packaging and labeling artwork, interpret change details, and ensure consistent application across different products and markets.
- Liaise with Market Coordinators, WSR PCOs, and artwork centers to resolve discrepancies and clarify instructions.
- Annotate and approve or reject artwork using digital proofreading tools, providing clear and precise feedback for re-creation when necessary.
- As the Proofreader, you will monitor workload and ensure all proofreading is completed within designated Pfizer Artwork Request timelines and escalate issues as required.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Proofreader, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- A Degree or higher level in a relevant field (e.g., Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Quality Assurance / Medical Writing).
- Proven experience (2+ years) in proofing pharmaceutical labeling, packaging components, or relevant scientific documents.
- Strong editing and proofreading skills, including knowledge of medical/scientific terminology and the ability to work across multiple languages.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- The ability to focus for extended periods, with good eyesight (20/20 colour vision corrected) and the capacity to handle occasional overtime.
