

ROLE OVERVIEW
Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company based in Bedfordshire, is seeking an experienced and innovative Purchasing Manager. This role is pivotal in centralising and governing purchasing operations for goods and services across the business. As the Purchasing Manager, you will focus on cost and quality, implementing policies to save money while enhancing product quality. You will also improve relations with existing suppliers and identify new suppliers to meet the company's needs more efficiently.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Purchasing Manager will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Build strong internal relationships to centralise and govern the procurement process.
2. Control the procurement budget and promote a culture of long-term savings.
3. Source and engage reliable suppliers and vendors while maintaining or improving quality.
4. Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

1. Relevant qualification in supply chain management or procurement.
2. Proven industry experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or packing.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Pharma Supply Chain Management processes.
