Radiopharmacy Technician

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a Radiopharmacy Technician to join a leading company in the nuclear medicine sector that develops, manufactures, and distributes radiopharmaceutical products globally. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to innovative life-saving treatments within a cutting-edge facility focused on clinical PET radiotracers and GMP compliance.

Based within a state-of-the-art environment, the successful candidate will be involved from early project phases through to GMP production, quality control, and aseptic dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals. You will play a vital role in ensuring operational excellence, safety, and regulatory compliance while supporting the delivery of life-changing therapies.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the Radiopharmacy Technician will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Support the development, validation, and execution of processes and documentation related to PET radiopharmaceutical manufacture, ensuring compliance with GMP standards.
• Participate in the preparation, manufacturing, and aseptic dispensation of PET radiopharmaceuticals using automated and manual equipment within sterile environments.
• Assist in maintaining facility sterility and cleanliness, environmental and radiation monitoring, and equipment maintenance to uphold GMP standards.
• Carry out quality control tests on radiopharmaceuticals, including radionuclide analysis and radiochemical purity assessments, following European Pharmacopoeia guidelines.
• As the Radiopharmacy Technician, you will ensure all documentation, equipment, and processes adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations including ionising radiation controls and COSSH procedures.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Radiopharmacy Technician we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

• A Degree or higher level in a related science field (e.g., Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Radiopharmacy / Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Science).
• Proven experience working within a GMP environment, preferably within radiopharmaceutical manufacturing or a related field.
• Good understanding of pharmaceutical chemistry, GMP standards, and radiation safety protocols (desirable).
• Willingness to work flexibly on a rotating 12-hour shift pattern, including overnight hours, to support operational 24/7 needs.
