

A leading company in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a Research Scientist to join their Translational Sciences team in Berkshire on an initial 12-month contract. As a Research Scientist, you will play a crucial role in advancing drug development from research into clinical phases.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Research Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As a Research Scientist, you will develop, optimise, and validate e.g., ELISA, MSD, ELLA, Gyros, Singulex and Simoa/Quanterix ligand binding assays/immunoassays for biomarkers and gene therapy targets.
2. As a Research Scientist, you will present data at multi-disciplinary project team meetings and understand the underlying biology and therapeutic approach of supported programmes.
3. As a Research Scientist, you will maintain laboratory equipment to high standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, Human Tissue Act (HTA), and other applicable regulations.
4. As a Research Scientist, you will transfer methods to external partners, with potential travel in exceptional circumstances.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Research Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a biological discipline (MSc, or PhD).
2. Proven industry experience in running ligand binding assays/immunoassays (e.g., ELISA, MSD, ELLA, Gyros, Singulex, Simoa/Quanterix).
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with solving complex analytical challenges.
