Research Scientist

ROLE OVERVIEW

An exciting opportunity for a Research Scientist to join a leading biotechnology sector based in the UK. Working within our client’s Antibody and Novel Therapeutics department, this role offers the chance to be part of a pioneering team focused on developing innovative multispecific antibody therapeutics that aim to improve lives. This position is ideal for a dedicated scientist eager to contribute across the full lifecycle of therapeutic molecules, from initial design to final analysis.

This is a 12-month maternity cover position that provides a unique chance to gain valuable industrial biopharmaceutical experience in a dynamic research environment, supporting cutting-edge advancements in severe disease treatments.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the Research Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
   • Support the development of novel multispecific antibody therapeutics through design, production, and analysis.
   • Conduct molecular biology techniques related to antibody expression and purification.
   • Perform protein quality testing, functional cell-based assays, binding assays, mass spectrometry, and structural protein analysis.
   • Contribute to project development from initial concept through to implementation, collaborating effectively within the team.
   • As the Research Scientist, you will ensure experimental accuracy and maintain precise documentation in line with industry standards.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Research Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
   • A Degree or higher level in a relevant field (e.g., Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Molecular Biology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology).
   • Proven experience in antibody engineering, production, and analysis, with a thorough understanding of related laboratory techniques.
   • Demonstrable teamwork and communication skills essential for effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
