

ROLE OVERVIEW
An exciting opportunity for a Scientist to join a leading life sciences organization based in the UK. This role offers the chance to work within a dynamic R&D environment dedicated to advancing biotherapeutic analytics and innovation. As part of the Protein Chemistry team, you will contribute to cutting-edge projects that help develop and improve life-saving biologic medicines.
This position involves scientific experimentation, data analysis, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-value analytical solutions that support the company's scientific objectives and client needs.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as the Scientist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
• Plan and execute scientific activities, including laboratory work, method development, testing new technologies, and scientific documentation.
• Perform detailed analysis of biotherapeutic proteins using techniques such as liquid chromatography and capillary electrophoresis to characterize CQAs and PTMs.
• Analyze complex datasets, interpret results, and communicate findings to internal stakeholders effectively.
• Contribute to research and development projects aimed at innovative analytical solutions; assist with scientific review and reporting.
• As a Scientist, you will support the delivery of scientific excellence in the characterization of biotherapeutics.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
• A Degree or higher level in life sciences (e.g., Biochemistry / Biology / Biotechnology).
• Proven practical experience in an analytical laboratory, focusing on protein analysis and characterization techniques.
• Solid knowledge of chromatography (RP, HILIC, SEC, IEX), capillary electrophoresis (CE-SDS, icIEF), and other relevant analytical methods.
• Research-focused background with an interest in biologics and evolving analytical technologies.
