Scientific Publications Associate

We are recruiting a Scientific Publications Associate to join a leading Pharmaceutical company on the London/Surrey border for an initial 6 months. As the Scientific Publications Associate, you will be responsible for supporting data dissemination through the development of publications that extend medical community and patient knowledge of our client’s products, therapy areas, and business.

This is a remote working position, with once per quarter on site.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Scientific Publications Associate will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Scientific Publications Associate, you will work under the direction of the Lead and/or Head of Scientific Publications to support the translation of medical strategies and objectives into actionable publication plans for assigned products.

2. As the Scientific Publications Associate, you will support the timely execution of publication plans, including vendor management, and ensure alignment with good publication practices and documentation per the Global Publications SOP.

3. As the Scientific Publications Associate, you will review draft publications for scientific quality, ensuring alignment and consistency with author direction, and support the achievement of budget objectives and project goals within department priorities.

4. As the Scientific Publications Associate, you will foster collaborative relationships with academic and clinical experts, publishers, medical associations, and other relevant stakeholder groups to support cross-functional global alignment.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Scientific Publications Associate, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a scientific or medical discipline (such as PharmD, PhD, MD).

2. Proven industry experience in the healthcare or related industry (such as academic or clinical research, medical or technical writing experience).

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with good publication practices and guidelines (e.g., company policy and SOPs, ICMJE, GPP3, IFPMA and Pharma Code of Conduct, Sunshine Act, and European Transparency and Privacy Laws).
