

ROLE OVERVIEW
Our client, a leading company in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a Senior Analytical Scientist to join their team in the Oxford area. As the Senior Analytical Scientist, you will be at the forefront of generating and implementing innovative solutions to complex analytical challenges, ensuring high-quality analysis within agreed timelines to support a variety of technically demanding projects.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Senior Analytical Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Research and implement innovative methods to overcome technical challenges in biochemical analysis of solid dose vaccines.
2. Develop and optimise new analytical methods for novel solid dose vaccine formulations and assess their suitability through appropriate studies.
3. Drive scientific decision-making and ensure relevant methods are trended and monitored, leading investigations when necessary.
4. Collaborate across technical groups to achieve company and project goals, and train and support team members as the Analytical Lead for assigned projects.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Senior Analytical Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. PhD degree in relevant biological sciences or proven experience in a laboratory-based analytical position.
2. Proven industry experience in troubleshooting, optimising, and developing complex methods for biomolecules such as ELISA, HPLC, and transfection.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with leading analytical standards, quality compliance, and laboratory operations.
