

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are currently looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join a leading biotechnology company based in the Bristol area. As the Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the development and scale-up of bioprocesses to support the production of sustainable and ethical cell-based products.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Senior Process Engineer will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Leading and advising on a range of internal and client projects focused on developing and scaling bioprocesses from 1L to 2,000L and beyond.
2. Developing bioreactor processes to enhance commercial manufacturing efficiency and sustainability, working with various cell types and culture methods.
3. Ensuring safe working practices in a life science lab and leading a team to achieve project goals.
4. Providing technical guidance on bioreactor monitoring, control, and intensified bioprocessing methodologies.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Senior Process Engineer, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.
2. Extensive industry experience in cell-culture bioprocess development or commercial biomanufacturing.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with operating large-scale bioreactors and adhering to quality and control processes.
