

ROLE OVERVIEW
A leading company in the pharmaceutical industry, based in the Oxford area, is seeking a Senior Pharmaceutical Process Engineer. This role offers the chance to contribute to the development of robust, scalable manufacturing processes. As the Senior Pharmaceutical Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting external engineering and manufacturing contractors, ensuring delivery to specification, budget, and timelines. Additionally, you will provide technical reviews and input into manufacturing processes and engineering designs for equipment, and supervise the installation and qualification of an aseptic manufacturing line.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Senior Pharmaceutical Process Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Provide technical input into the design of GMP manufacturing processes and new equipment suitable for sterile operations.
2. Lead the commissioning and qualification of GMP equipment for clinical use.
3. Support the technology transfer of Critical Intermediates & Investigational Medicinal Products (IMP) to CDMOs and act as aVaxMed’s ‘person in plant’ for the sterile manufacture of technical, stability, and clinical (Phase 1/11) batches.
4. Lead IMP packaging development to ensure suitability for sterile IMP clinical use.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Pharmaceutical Process Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. MSc/MEng degree or higher in a relevant science/engineering field.
2. Extensive industry experience in process development and/or pharmaceutical engineering.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with GMP equipment qualification and process development/industrialisation.
