

ROLE OVERVIEW
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Scientist to join a leading pharmaceutical organisation based in the scientific research sector. Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to lead and support laboratory experiments, ensuring compliance with GMP standards, and collaborating effectively with multi-disciplinary teams. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as the Senior Scientist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

As the Senior Scientist, you will lead and complete scientific research projects to deepen understanding of CHO media development and bioprocessing techniques.

As the Senior Scientist, you will adhere to good laboratory practice, including cGMP protocols where applicable, to ensure high-quality research outputs.

As the Senior Scientist, you will conduct experiments involving cell culture, Ambr operation, and analytics to generate reliable and reproducible data.

As the Senior Scientist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and timely delivery.

As the Senior Scientist, you will prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, monitor calibration schedules, coordinate servicing, and ensure safety compliance.

As the Senior Scientist, you will prepare media, feeds, buffers, reagents, and maintain stock levels of consumables to support ongoing research activities.

As the Senior Scientist, you will complete and peer-review laboratory documentation to maintain accuracy and regulatory compliance.

As the Senior Scientist, you will take ownership of troubleshooting technical issues and contribute to continuous process improvements.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

A Degree or higher level in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or related) with proven experience in cell culture and bioprocessing.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, with strong communication and presentation skills, including explaining complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.

Experience with laboratory techniques and data analysis tools pertinent to cell culture, analytics, and bioprocessing.

A proactive, determined approach to achieving project goals in a fast-paced research environment.
