

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Scientist in In vitro Immunology to join a leading biopharmaceutical company based in Slough. This is a maternity cover position with an ideal start date in June 2026 for a duration of 12 months. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking immune-mediated disease research within a collaborative and innovative environment, supporting discovery and early development programs.
As part of our client's dedicated In vitro Immunology group, you will be pivotal in delivering high-quality data that informs crucial project decisions, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and external collaborators. This position provides a unique chance to apply your scientific expertise in a fast-paced and impactful setting.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as the Senior Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
• As the Senior Scientist, you will provide hands-on experimental support for in vitro immunology studies, including assay development and validation.
• As the Senior Scientist, you will design and execute in vitro experiments supporting target validation, drug discovery, and translational pharmacology.
• As the Senior Scientist, you will collaborate with project teams and external partners to interpret data and contribute to project milestones.
• As the Senior Scientist, you will maintain accurate documentation, generate reports, and present findings at team meetings.
• As the Senior Scientist, you will support established in vitro models, optimise assays, and oversee outsourced studies when necessary.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Senior Scientist - In vitro Immunology we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
• A Degree or higher level in Immunology, or a closely related discipline (e.g., Pharmacology / Biomedical Science), with relevant proven industry or postdoctoral experience in drug discovery.
• Strong hands-on experience in in vitro immunology models relevant to inflammatory and immune-mediated diseases, including primary and immortalised cell cultures, flow cytometry, ELISA, multiplex assays, and Western Blot.
• Demonstrated ability to design robust experiments, interpret complex datasets, and work independently within a multidisciplinary team.
