

ROLE OVERVIEW
Our client is currently looking for a Senior Toxicologic Pathologist to join a leading Contract Research Organisation based in Herefordshire. As the Senior Toxicologic Pathologist, you will be responsible for contributing to the Pathology Sciences Department, ensuring high-quality non-clinical safety testing services.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Senior Toxicologic Pathologist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Advising on all aspects of anatomic and clinical pathology requirements in non-clinical safety studies as required for protocols.
2. Supervising necropsies to ensure dissection, sampling, and preservation according to protocol requirements, and advising on the description and recording of macroscopic findings.
3. Performing microscopic evaluation and interpretation of findings, correlating these with macroscopic findings, organ weights, and clinical pathology findings.
4. Interacting with internal and external clients to ensure client satisfaction with Pathology Sciences department deliverables.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Senior Toxicologic Pathologist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in veterinary medicine (DVM, VMD, BVM&S, BVSc or equivalent).
2. Proven industry experience in laboratory animal pathology/toxicologic pathology.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with reading and evaluating toxicity studies and conducting pathology peer reviews.
