

We are currently recruiting a Visual Inspection SME to join a leading Pharmaceutical CAPEX project in the Walloon Region, Belgium. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute their skills and knowledge to a high-profile initiative focused on cutting-edge inspection technologies.
Based in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, you will work closely with internal engineering teams, external suppliers, and technical stakeholders to ensure the successful deployment and validation of manual, semi-automatic, and automated vision inspection systems. The role offers a dynamic mix of technical challenges, process validation, and vendor engagement, making it ideal for a candidate with proven expertise in visual inspection technologies within regulated environments.
This is hybrid mission until the end of September 2026, but with possibility of extension.

Your duties as the Visual Inspection Expert will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- As the Visual Inspection Expert you will contribute to the successful execution of the greenfield CAPEX project by defining and reviewing technical specifications and engineering deliverables related to visual inspection systems.
- As the Visual Inspection Expert you will validate design choices, assess defect classification strategies, and participate in FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ activities for inspection equipment.
- As the Visual Inspection Expert you will support the integration of digital tools, including AI/ML-based defect detection and image data validation, within regulated frameworks.
- As the Visual Inspection Expert you will challenge vendor proposals and engineering designs to ensure robustness, data integrity, and compliance with quality standards.
- As the Visual Inspection Expert you will provide insights and challenge solutions from suppliers and internal teams to meet project objectives.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Visual Inspection Systems Expert we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- A Degree or higher level in a relevant technical field (e.g., Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Quality Assurance / Engineering).
- At least 5 years of proven experience working with manual, semi-automatic, and automated vision inspection systems, ideally within regulated environments.
- Working experience with camera-based and AI/ML-driven defect detection tools, alongside a solid understanding of system validation principles such as GAMP5, Annex 11, and data integrity.
