In February 2026, I’ll be attending Pharma Sustainability Integrates 2026 in London, and it’s one I’m genuinely looking forward to.
This event combines two of my passions: STEM and Sustainability.
Having spent the last 28 years working across the Life Sciences and Sustainability sectors, helping companies hire talented people into teams where their work genuinely impacts our lives, I’ve always been motivated by the influence this industry has on health and wellbeing. What particularly interests me now is how a sector that makes such a profound difference to patients is also taking meaningful steps to reduce its environmental footprint.
Pharma Sustainability Integrates creates space for exactly those conversations.
Sustainability as a Strategic Imperative
Sustainability is no longer a peripheral discussion within life sciences. It has moved from ESG reporting into core operational and strategic decision-making.
From manufacturing processes and supply chain transparency to energy usage and data reporting, sustainability now influences how organisations compete and scale. Investors are asking sharper questions. Regulators are tightening expectations. And employees increasingly want to understand the environmental commitments of the organisations they join.
The companies that treat sustainability as integrated business strategy, rather than a communications exercise, will be the ones that lead.
The Operational Reality
What particularly interests me about this event is the operational lens.
It is one thing to commit to ambitious targets. It is another to embed measurable change across R&D, manufacturing and global supply chains.
Pharmaceutical organisations operate within complex regulatory and operational frameworks. Delivering sustainable progress in that environment requires collaboration, innovation and leadership alignment. I’m looking forward to hearing how businesses are navigating that balance, making progress without compromising performance.
Leadership and Talent in a Sustainable Future
Sustainability also has a direct impact on talent strategy.
In my role, I speak to leaders across pharma and life sciences every week. Increasingly, sustainability capability is becoming embedded in executive and operational mandates. Organisations are seeking leaders who understand environmental impact, governance and long-term resilience alongside scientific and commercial expertise.
Over nearly three decades in this space, I’ve seen how leadership priorities shape hiring decisions and ultimately determine the impact organisations make, both on patients and, increasingly, on the planet.
Why This Matters Beyond the Event
For me, attending Pharma Sustainability Integrates 2026 is about more than attending panels.
It is about staying connected to the conversations shaping the future of our sector. It is about understanding how sustainability ambition translates into operational execution. And it is about ensuring that, as a recruitment partner to life sciences organisations, we continue to support businesses building teams capable of delivering meaningful impact.
If you’re attending Pharma Sustainability Integrates 2026 on 25 February in London, I would welcome the opportunity to connect on the day.
