Cybersecurity Engineer

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer – Design Controls Remediation to join a leading organization specializing in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device industries. This is a remote opportunity within our client’s dynamic team, supporting ongoing and upcoming projects across the US. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the Cybersecurity Engineer – Design Controls Remediation will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Perform threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and risk analyses focusing on device’s connected or software-enabled features.
  • Develop or update cybersecurity requirements and design controls documentation to ensure compliance and security standards.
  • Support the creation of cybersecurity verification test protocols and penetration testing strategies to validate device security.
  • Integrate cybersecurity controls into the overall device risk management file, ensuring a comprehensive security approach.
  • Prepare cybersecurity risk management reports and Design Transfer documentation to facilitate manufacturing security controls.
  • As the Cybersecurity Engineer, you will ensure that all cybersecurity measures are aligned with regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Cybersecurity Engineer – Design Controls Remediation, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

  • A Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related field; CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in medical device cybersecurity, particularly in FDA-guided environments.
  • Expertise in threat modeling (e.g., STRIDE), secure software development lifecycle, and penetration testing.
  • Knowledge of standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 14971, IEC 81001-5-1, AAMI TIR57, AAMI TIR97, and AAMI SW96.
  • Experience in cybersecurity gap remediation for medical devices.
