Our client is seeking a dedicated Asset Management Specialist to join a leading organisation within the engineering industry, based in the LOCATION area. As the Asset Management Specialist, you will be part of the Global Physical Asset Management team within the Global Engineering and Facilities department. This role is unique as it focuses on ensuring physical assets deliver optimal performance with the right resource investment, balancing risk, performance, and total expenditure.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Asset Management Specialist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Develop asset strategies by assessing asset condition, performance, and business risks, and propose mitigation or performance improvement plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
2. Oversee and govern programs by translating technical issues into structured investment proposals and presenting these plans to site leadership and stakeholders.
3. Act as a strategic advisor, steering decisions within a matrix organisation without directly executing projects.
4. Define investment needs with a holistic view of total expenditure, including asset replacement and maintenance strategies.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Asset Management Specialist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a technical field such as civil engineering or bioengineering.
2. Proven industry experience in a manufacturing environment, with backgrounds in pharmaceuticals, maintenance operations, asset management, or risk management being highly valued.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with program/project management, strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, and excellent communication skills.
