Maintenance Engineer

ROLE OVERVIEW

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading chemical manufacturing company based in the Staffordshire area. This role offers a chance to be part of a dynamic team responsible for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of production processes. The Maintenance Engineer plays a crucial part in maintaining equipment reliability and safety, supporting the company’s commitment to high-quality manufacturing standards.

In this position, you will work closely with various technical and operational teams to troubleshoot, repair, and perform routine maintenance on key production machinery. The role is ideal for a proactive individual with strong technical skills and a passion for maintaining operational excellence.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the Maintenance Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Support the smooth operation of manufacturing processes through effective maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance procedures and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical problems.
• Collaborate with the maintenance, operations, quality, and engineering teams to ensure efficient production.
• Interact with specialised external contractors to maintain safety and efficiency.
• As the Maintenance Engineer, you will confidently work with electronic maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP PM).

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Maintenance Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

• A recognised electrical or mechanical qualification.
• Proven industry experience in hands-on maintenance and repair of production equipment.
• A working knowledge and practical experience with maintenance management systems.
