

ROLE OVERVIEW
A leading company in the Electro-Optic Materials industry is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team based in the Olen area. As the Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in modernising, adapting, and expanding Germanium production facilities. This is your chance to be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, contributing to projects that enable advancements in space, optics, and electronics sectors.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Project Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Translate client requirements into technical designs for equipment, piping, and mechanical components.
2. Execute conceptual designs and basic engineering, including layout, design, and calculations.
3. Investigate and propose technical solutions for specific needs, ensuring HAZOP risk analyses are considered.
4. Participate in procurement activities, from inquiry to invoicing, and provide technical support during project execution and startup.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Project Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in Engineering (preferably electromechanics) or equivalent through experience.
2. Extensive industry experience in designing process equipment installations in an industrial environment.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with design and 2D/3D visualisation software such as Autocad.
