LIMS Specialist

We are recruiting a seasoned LIMS Specialist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company in County Waterford on a 12 month contract. We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong understanding of Data Integrity principles, hands-on experience configuring Thermo SampleManager LIMS, and proven ability to automate interfaces between QC equipment and LIMS systems.

This role offers the chance to lead critical initiatives ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, improve automation and data management processes, and support site inspections and audits, all while working within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.
 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the LIMS Specialist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• As the LIMS Analyst, you will ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies related to data integrity across water and chemistry labs
• As the LIMS Analyst, you will retrospectively update and optimise LIMS analyses to enhance automation features such as calculations, reports, and dashboards
• As the LIMS Analyst, you will develop and implement interfaces between QC equipment and LIMS systems, focusing on automation and data integrity
• As the LIMS Analyst, you will conduct routine data quality checks, validations, and investigations into data integrity issues, including breaches or falsification incidents
• As the LIMS Analyst, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives and support inspection readiness by ensuring all data management practices meet stringent quality standards

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the LIMS Specialist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

• A Degree or higher level in a relevant scientific or technical field (e.g., Chemistry, Laboratory Science, Data Management)
• Proven experience configuring Thermo SampleManager LIMS and working closely with LIMS suppliers and stakeholders
• Extensive hands-on experience automating LIMS analyses, report development, and interface integration with QC equipment
• Strong understanding of Data Integrity principles and regulatory compliance requirements, with experience in validation and corrective actions
