QA Officer

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a dedicated QA Officer to join a dynamic quality assurance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a quality assurance focused professional to contribute to maintaining and enhancing our client’s robust Quality Management System (QMS). Based at their site, you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance, supporting internal and external audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the QA Officer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • To develop, maintain, and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure ongoing compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Act as system administrator and primary contact for the electronic QMS (eQMS) platform, including user support and process management.
  • Coordinate monitoring and reporting of KPI metrics related to the QMS to support operational decision-making.
  • Deliver training on QMS processes and QA induction for new staff, facilitating understanding of change controls, deviations, and quality events.
  • As the QA Officer, you will organise and participate in internal audits, external audits, and inspections, ensuring readiness and compliance at all times.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the QA Officer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

  • A Degree or higher level in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Quality Assurance, Quality Management).
  • Proven experience within a pharmaceutical or regulated laboratory environment, with a strong understanding of GxP standards, GMP, and quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical computer systems and electronic quality management platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
