

We are currently looking for a Senior Associate Device Engineer to join a leading life sciences company based in Cambridgeshire to support their Device Engineering team. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as the Senior Associate Device Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
• Provide technical project support within the Device Engineering Sciences team by testing, analyzing, and evaluating novel drug delivery devices, components, and containers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine performance factors requiring assessment and investigation, supporting design verification and development.
• Assist in authoring, reviewing, and managing design control documentation, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
• Support interactions with external vendors and internal partners on design assessment, verification, and manufacturing process qualification activities.
• Support the development of test methods, experimental rigs, and test setups to evaluate device performance and user safety.
• As the Senior Associate Device Engineer, you will manage risk assessments, including input to dFMEA and uFMEA processes, and advocate for robust risk mitigation strategies.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Senior Associate Device Engineer, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
• A Degree or higher level in a relevant field (e.g., Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Quality Assurance, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering).
• Proven experience supporting drug delivery device development, including hands-on testing, risk assessment, and working within regulatory standards such as ISO 13485.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, develop experimental protocols, and solve problems independently.
