CFO

ROLE OVERVIEW

An exciting opportunity for a Fractional CFO to join a leading life sciences company based in the South West area to join their team.

You will work closely with a young and ambitious senior leadership team, providing credible, commercial financial leadership and strategic direction as the business scales. This contract role is ideal for a forward-thinking finance professional ready to make a significant impact.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the Job Title will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring robust financial planning, analysis, and decision support for the senior leadership team.
• Develop and implement financial strategies that support growth, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation.
• Lead and manage investor interactions, supporting fundraising activities with a focus on £10M+ raises.
• Strengthen financial planning and reporting processes to improve visibility, performance tracking, and forecasting quality.
• As the Fractional CFO you will collaborate with leadership to translate business priorities into actionable financial plans and governance.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Job Title we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

• A Degree or higher level in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven industry experience supporting investor interactions and fundraising activities.
• A working knowledge and practical experience in financial strategy development and implementation.
• Strong stakeholder management capability, bringing clarity and confidence to senior leadership discussions.
