We are currently looking for an IT Infrastructure Specialist to join a leading technology company based in Kenosha, WI. This exciting 12-month contract position offers a competitive rate and requires 100% onsite presence. As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the organisation’s IT infrastructure and End-User Computing (EUC) environment.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional with proven experience in managing complex IT environments, looking to contribute significantly within a dynamic team.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as the IT Infrastructure Specialist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
• Provide hands-on support for the organisation’s IT infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Manage cloud services like Microsoft 365, Azure AD (Entra ID), and AWS, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
• Offer L1/L2 support for hardware/software issues, network connectivity, VPN access, authentication problems, and endpoint/device management, including user onboarding/offboarding through IAM workflows.
• Collaborate with vendors and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) for incident escalation, SLA coordination, patching cycles, licensing, and infrastructure support using ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
• As the IT Infrastructure Specialist you will ensure the smooth operation and security of the organisation’s IT environments, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the IT Infrastructure Specialist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
• A Degree or higher level in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven industry experience in managing IT infrastructure and EUC environments with practical knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), Microsoft 365, Azure AD (Entra ID), AWS, and ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
