Back to Job SearchWe are recruiting an Environmental Enforcement Officer on an initial 6 month contract for a public sector organisation in the Bradford area. As an Environmental Enforcement Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of life by enforcing legislation related to environmental offences.
This is an initial 6 month contract and the rate on offer is £370 per day inside IR35 via Umbrella.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Environmental Enforcement Officer will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As the Environmental Enforcement Officer, you will investigate service requests and allegations of environmental offences, collect evidence, and prepare for prosecution.
2. As the Environmental Enforcement Officer, you will prepare, draft, and serve notices, including fixed penalty notices, and supervise remedial works.
3. As the Environmental Enforcement Officer, you will conduct surveillance and monitoring of sites, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
4. As the Environmental Enforcement Officer, you will lead investigations and prosecutions, including preparing and presenting evidence in court.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Environmental Enforcement Officer, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in Environmental Health, Waste Regulation, or a related field.
2. Proven industry experience in environmental enforcement or regulatory systems.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with legal and technical aspects of environmental enforcement.
