A leading company in the life sciences industry is seeking a skilled Senior Scientist or Associate Principal Scientist to join their Protein Science, Biophysics, and Structural Biology department. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Senior Scientist or Associate Principal Scientist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Deliver Biophysics and Protein Science projects independently and collaboratively, generating high-quality data and insights.
2. Lead small-to-medium client projects, ensuring delivery to quality, time, and budget while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external clients.
3. Make recommendations for capability development and support scientific decision-making.
4. Occasionally travel, including visits to the Chapel-en-le-Frith site.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Senior Scientist or Associate Principal Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree (PhD preferred or equivalent experience) in a related field.
2. Proven industry experience in Biophysical techniques (e.g., SPR, GCI, ITC, DLS, DSF, SEC-MALS) and Protein Production in Drug Discovery.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with leading scientific projects, demonstrating good scientific judgment and problem-solving skills.
4. Strong communication skills for presenting data and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
