

We are recruiting a Reliability Engineer to join a leading Pharmaceutical company in the Co Waterford area. As the Reliability Engineer, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, reducing downtime, and ensuring optimal asset performance. This is an opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving equipment reliability within a critical Fill and Finish production environment.
This is an initial 12 month contract with possible extension.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as the Reliability Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- As the Reliability Engineer, you will lead reliability improvement initiatives for Fill and Finish equipment, including filling lines, lyophilizers, and ancillary equipment.
- As the Reliability Engineer, you will develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- As the Reliability Engineer, you will conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode effects analysis (FMEA) for equipment failures and chronic reliability issues.
- As the Reliability Engineer, you will monitor and analyze equipment performance metrics such as MTBF, MTTR, and availability.
- As the Reliability Engineer, you will support equipment qualification, validation activities, and ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Reliability Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- A Degree or higher level in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- Proven experience with reliability engineering principles, methodologies, and tools such as RCA, FMEA, and RCM.
- Experience with data analysis, statistical methods, and familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies like vibration analysis and thermography.
- Strong understanding of GMP requirements and pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.
- As the Reliability Engineer, you will demonstrate excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and effective communication abilities.
