As a Materials Characterisation & Formulation Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating the impact of raw material and API variability on drug product manufacturability and performance. This position offers the chance to work on cutting-edge projects, utilising small-scale experimental platforms and computational modelling tools to predict manufacturing and product performance.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Materials Characterisation & Formulation Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As the Materials Formulation Scientist, you will design and execute laboratory studies to evaluate the impact of material variability and supplier changes on drug product performance.
2. As the Materials Formulation Scientist, you will apply Science of Scale principles to develop representative small-scale models of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
3. As the Materials Formulation Scientist, you will utilise computational modelling and data-driven approaches to predict process and product performance during material change assessments.
4. As the Materials Formulation Scientist, you will design and perform formulation-based performance prediction studies to assess manufacturing and quality risks.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Materials Characterisation & Formulation Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline.
2. Proven industry experience in pharmaceutical formulation development, process development, manufacturing sciences, or related fields.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with oral solid dosage forms and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
