We are currently looking for a Head of Biologics Innovation to join a leading biotech organization dedicated to advancing immuno-oncology and immune-related therapeutics. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a visionary scientist and strategist to influence early-stage development and steer a talented R&D team towards groundbreaking biologic innovations.
Based in a dynamic environment, the role offers the chance to work at a high level within biologics research and development, focusing on cutting-edge therapies like PD-1-based immunotherapies, T-cell engagers, and antibody-drug conjugates. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s innovative pipeline and collaborating on external partnerships to bring transformative biologics to market.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as the Head of Biologics Innovation will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Lead the design and execution of the biologics R&D pipeline strategy, with a focus on tumor immunology and immune-related diseases to develop “Best-in-Indication” biologics that are globally competitive and out-licensing ready.

Guide the R&D team in innovative technology development, especially in next-generation PD-1 combination therapies, T-cell engager (TCE) immunotherapy, and ADC platforms, ensuring scientific rigor and technological advancement.

Drive translational medicine activities by aligning preclinical research with clinical needs, contributing to early clinical trial design, and ensuring smooth transition from preclinical to clinical phases.

Oversee all biologics R&D teams, fostering a collaborative environment, recruiting top scientific talent, and building a resilient, innovative R&D system.

Represent the company in external scientific and business development evaluations, assessing out-licensing and in-licensing opportunities to maximize the value of the biologics portfolio.

As the Head of Biologics Innovation, you will set the strategic vision, motivate your team, and ensure the achievement of key scientific and business milestones.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Head of Biologics Innovation, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

A Degree or higher level in Immunology, Tumor Biology, or related life science disciplines (immunology background preferred).

Proven 10+ years of biologics R&D experience within successful biotech or multinational companies, with extensive hands-on expertise in tumor immunology (particularly PD-1 or TCE mechanisms) or ADC drug development. Demonstrable success from target discovery to IND filing and program advancement to late clinical stages or out-licensing.

Proven team management experience at Director level or above, with a track record of building high-performing R&D teams, fostering innovation, and navigating cross-functional collaboration.
