

Business Development Manager – Life Sciences Services
Greater Boston Area (On-site with travel)
HRS are partnered with a high-growth, innovation-led life sciences organisation supporting drug discovery and development to appoint a Business Development Manager.
This is a unique opportunity for a scientifically minded individual to combine deep technical understanding with commercial delivery, engaging directly with biotech and pharma clients across cutting-edge research solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across biotech and pharma accounts
- Build relationships with scientific stakeholders and drive client engagement
- Lead the full sales cycle: outreach, technical discussions, proposals, and contract negotiation
- Represent the organisation at industry conferences and networking events
- Collaborate with marketing to strengthen brand positioning and market presence
What we’re looking for:
- PhD in a life sciences discipline
- Strong interest in bridging science and commercial strategy
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage senior scientific audiences
- Experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles (ideal but not essential)
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events
